Week Seven: Microblogging

I am now following 23thingsks, van2010games, and SaintsNews on Twitter using debbyhw as my Twitter handle. I find it challenging to think of tweets to post but I have enjoyed following Iran during its election.

Week Six: Tagging and Social Bookmarking

I enjoyed viewing some of the websites that other people had tagged using delicious. As our library will be using KOHA on Nexpress, I searched for information on KOHA. I had fun seeing what some other people had chosen.

Nelsonville Public Library in Athens County, Ohio was shown by two different social bloggers. Clicking on their names revealed quite a difference in their interests. Stillpoint had also chosen Mannahatta, a site that provides information about New York City in 1609. Stephenzone had a link to Tonganoxie Public Library. What a small world!

Week Five: RSS and Feed Readers

I decided to use Bloglines as there was a good deal of information about it in the instructions. Once I set up an account, I chose to view the feeds of Abstract Art, Dictionary.com Word of the Day, New York Times home page, PC Magazine, Remembrances on NPR, Rotten Tomatoes, and Salon.

Week Four: Photo Sharing
